School Supply List

Systems of Organization
 

Grade 9 and 10 teachers encourage students to use a three-ring binder system. A three-ring binder may not work for some students, so a folder system supply list is included below as well. Grade 9 and 10 students at SAHS have access to lockers, however passing time is limited, so all supplies should fit in their backpack. Lockers are intended more for storage of jackets, lunches, and other items that do not need to be obtained in between each class.

• Please bring the school-issued Chromebook to each class.
  • NOTE: Chromebooks are assigned to students in September/October. If access to a device is needed prior to Chromebook delivery, please contact the Technology Office.
     
• All Grade 9 and 10 students are given an SAHS Academic Planner.
   
• Some courses have specific supply information shared directly by the teacher once school begins.

• Students carry their backpack with them at all times if no locker is requested

General Items:

• Choice of organization: Folders and/or Binder(s) for courses

• Assorted colored pens or markers

• Calculator: Not a phone - See required calculator for math to determine what is needed. They are also used in science.

• Colored pencils and regular #2 pencils

• Loose-leaf paper

• Notebooks for each class

• Earbuds/headphones to be plugged into a Chromebook/laptop

• Highlighters: Multiple colors - pink, yellow, and other colors of choice

• Post-it notes

• Glue sticks: For science

• Academic Planners are available for purchase for $5

• Donation: Kleenex

• Algebra with Quads: Scientific Calculator

  • TI-30XS MultiView Scientific Calculator

• Geometry: Scientific Calculator, with Trig functions of sin, cos, and tan

  • TI-84 Graphing Calculator

  • TI-30XS MultiView Scientific Calculator, or 

• Algebra 2 and future math coursework: Graphing Calculator - Texas Instrument preferred

  • TI-84 Graphing Calculator
