Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) & College Credit Opportunities

The information on this page is a brief summary. For complete information, please visit the Counseling Office webpage or the Minnesota Department of Education's Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) webpage.

Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO)

The Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program allows eligible Minnesota students in grades 10–12 to earn college credit by taking courses at participating colleges and universities. Students interested in PSEO should work with their school counselor to understand eligibility requirements, application deadlines, graduation requirements, and the potential impact on their high school schedule.

College Credit Opportunities at Stillwater Area High School

In addition to PSEO, Stillwater Area High School offers a wide range of opportunities for students to earn college credit while remaining on campus and participating fully in high school academics, activities, athletics, and student life.

Students may have opportunities to earn college credit through:

  • Concurrent Enrollment courses taught by Stillwater teachers in partnership with accredited colleges and universities.
  • Advanced Placement (AP) courses (where available).
  • Career and technical education pathways that offer industry certifications and college credit opportunities.
  • The Associate of Arts (A.A.) Degree pathway through Inver Hills Community College.
  • Other district-approved college credit opportunities.

Each program has different eligibility requirements, credit opportunities, and benefits. Students and families are encouraged to meet with their school counselor to determine which option best aligns with the student's academic goals, postsecondary plans, and interests.

Additional information about PSEO and the district's college credit opportunities is available through the high school's counseling office and on the district website.
