Emergency Management
The information on this page is a brief summary. For additional guidance, please review Policy 806: Crisis Management
The safety and security of students, staff, and visitors is a top priority for Stillwater Area Public Schools. The district maintains comprehensive emergency management and crisis response plans for all schools and regularly reviews and updates those plans in collaboration with local public safety partners.
Schools conduct required emergency drills throughout the school year and train students and staff on emergency response procedures using the Standard Response Protocol (SRP). Safety measures include emergency planning, staff training, secure building practices, and ongoing collaboration with law enforcement and emergency responders.
During an emergency, the district will communicate with families as quickly as possible using established communication systems. Parents and guardians are encouraged to keep their contact information current in PowerSchool to ensure they receive emergency notifications.
Additional information about emergency procedures, Standard Response Protocols, reunification, safety drills, and school security is available on the district's Emergency Management website.
