Singhvi Siblings Named Finalists in BIG Idea Competition
ABERDEEN, S.D. -- Dec. 11, 2024 -- Stillwater Area High School students Riddhi Singhvi and Coolsjes Singhvi were recently named finalists in the BIG Idea Competition. They competed in the Virtual Final Competition on Dec. 10, followed by the Awards Ceremony on Dec. 11.
In a pool of 284 entries, submitted from 67 schools across 17 states, Riddhi and Coosjes were named top-eight finalists. As out-of-state finalists, they were able to present their elevator pitch on Beat by Beat: Real-Time Virtual Blood Sugar Monitoring at the event held at Northern State University.
The BIG Idea Competition is a business idea competition for high school students created in 2007 to support the entrepreneurial spirit in students. After beginning in South Dakota, in 2022, the competition received a significant amount of out-of-state entries and has since expanded to include a separate virtual final competition at the event. The final event featured keynote speaker Erik Muckey, founder of Lost & Found, an organization working to curb suicide among young people.
