SAHS Trout in the Schools program allows students to get hands on experience
On April 21st Science Teacher Glenn Boettcher took students to release over 600 rainbow trout that were hatched by students in three tanks at SAHS. This was part of the 'Trout in the Schools Program' sponsored by Trout Unlimited and the Minnesota DNR. These 3 inch fingerlings were released into Brown's Creek (a trout fishery). Students also joined DNR Staff who used electrofishing techniques to survey adult fish in the same stream.
