Students Celebrated by Stillwater Community with Scholarships

Ceremony Recording
Through 69 different organization scholarships, 108 students benefited from a total of 138 awards. Including memorials, clubs, and local businesses, scholarships are available to students in the Stillwater community and are awarded based on a variety of criteria, including the student's academic achievement, financial need, future occupational goals, or areas of study.
With nearly 70 impactful awards, each scholarship ranged from one to 17 honorees. SAHS students benefited from impressive awards such as Stillwater Sunrise Rotary STRIVE Mentoring Scholarships and Tozer Foundation Scholarships. Through the generosity of the Stillwater community, the STRIVE Mentoring program recognized 17 different students with awards that emphasized their attendance, success in the classroom, and service to the community, while the Tozer Foundation honored 13 students on a competitive basis of financial need and above-average scholastic performance. A full list of the competitive awards and honorees can be found in the above scholarship program list.
For some students, college may not be possible without this community support, while for others, these awards help relieve the burden of the first year of college. Through local community groups and individuals, the future of these students is invested in and supports their continuing education.
The community scholarships distributed at the May 6 ceremony come in addition to those provided by individual colleges and universities to SAHS students.
