Student journalists named finalists in national competition
Two Stillwater Area High School student journalists have been named finalists in the National Scholastic Press Association individual story contest. Sophia Arndt was recognized for her Pony Express newspaper feature “Becoming myself: Brendon Rich”, while Kady Peltier was recognized for her news story called "Environmental Conservation Club works to get solar panels".
This is an incredibly competitive contest with only 9 students from across the country recognized in each category.
The final winners will be announced at the fall convention in Philadelphia in two weeks.
