How to apply for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Whether you are a junior just starting to think about where to go to school, or a senior in the process of applying, it’s important to understand the various options available to you when considering the final cost.
The first important step is to complete the FAFSA (Free Applications for Federal Student Aid) to determine your eligibility for financial aid. Everyone should apply, regardless of your parent’s income. Colleges will use this information to determine your financial package award. You will need your parent’s financial information in order to complete this. You can include up to 10 colleges on your FAFSA. This is money you are awarded and do not have to pay back!
You can apply as early as October 1; do it as soon as you can to put you near the front of the line!
