The first day of school can be intimidating, especially as you transition between school building. Link Crew brings together ninth graders with junior and senior leaders to make the transition just a bit easier.
What is Link Crew?
Link Crew is a high school orientation and transition program that welcomes ninth graders and makes them feel comfortable throughout their first year of high school. It is designed to ease students’ transition from middle school to high school in a fun and supportive way.
Junior and senior leaders are trained to act as positive role models and mentors who guide incoming students to discover what it takes to be successful in high school.
On the first day of school, Link Crew leaders team up with a small group ninth graders. They show them around the school and lead them in a variety of fun activities to help them make new friends and get familiar with their environment. The teams also gather throughout the year for social activities, study groups and to discuss any problems that may arise.
