Senior Awards

Based on cumulative GPA grade 9 through 1st semester grade 12)

• Sash (3.750 and above)
• White Cord (3.500 - 3.749 GPA)
• Gold Cord (3.000 - 3.499 GPA)

Honor Roll

Honor Rolls are calculated at the end of 1st and 2nd semester. The GPA is calculated for the semester only – NOT cumulative GPA. Honor rolls are now posted in Powerschool.

"A Honor Roll"  3.500 - 4.000

"B Honor Roll"  3.000 - 3.499

Academic Letters

To qualify for an academic award each year, students must have earned a 3.750 GPA or higher (weighted or unweighted) for the entire previous academic year. Students must be enrolled in Stillwater Area Public Schools in order to qualify.

First Academic Letter

Students lettering for the first time in a sport or activity may purchase a black Chenille "S", the Lamp of Learning Insignia and the Graduation Year numerals ($10 includes all 3). Students who previously earned a letter in a sport or activity receive an Academic Letter Award Certificate and Lamp of Learning Insignia.

Second Academic Letter

Students will receive an Academic Letter Award Certificate and Two Bars (free of charge).

Third Academic Letter

Senior students lettering for the third year will receive an Academic Letter Award Certificate and may purchase a white Chenille "S", the Lamp of Learning Insignia and three bars ($10 includes all three). If they previously earned a white letter in a sport or activity, then they receive an Academic Letter Award Certificate and three bars.
